CEDA ELECT VICE-PRESIDENT MESSAGE

Dear and distinguished colleagues,
I have the great honor to invite you to the 54th Central European Diabetes Association (CEDA) Congress, which will take place from June 8 to 10 in Bucharest, Romania.
In the 2023 edition of CEDA, we are waiting for you with scientific sessions on topics of interest, “state of the art” sessions, original communication sessions, e-poster sessions as well as “hand-to-hand” workshops.
Science, technology and interaction – we want to combine these three directions as harmoniously as possible in the organization of CEDA 2023, and together with you to build strong partnerships in diabetology at the central European level.
As you well know, in the tradition of CEDA, the development of scientific bridges between generations is extremely important, so, in the 2023 edition, we will continue the tradition and mentoring scholarships and prizes will be awarded to young doctors. To emphasize and develop the importance of the multidisciplinary approach to diabetes and its complications, CEDA 2023 will organize interactive sessions on:
• Diabetic neuropathy
• Diabetic retinopathy
• The diabetic foot
• Cardiovascular disease in diabetes
• Chronic kidney disease and diabetes
• Liver diseases and diabetes
• Neurological conditions and diabetes Urology and diabetes
• Surgery in diabetes
• Management of obesity
• Gynecology and diabetes
Also, a section dedicated to type 1 diabetes will be included in the event.
We are waiting for you from June 8 to 10 in Bucharest, Romania, at CEDA 2023 – the Congress through which we want to offer new perspectives of scientific interaction between diabetologists at the European level.
It is a great privilege for me, as the president of the organizing committee of CEDA 2023, but also as the elected vice-president of CEDA, to host the organization’s most important annual international event in Romania.
I thank the CEDA board as well as the two presidents, namely Prof. Stulnig (former president) and Prof. Kempler (president) for their support and trust, and I am convinced that with everyone’s involvement we will succeed in developing CEDA even more strongly in the central European space!
I am waiting for you in 2023 in Bucharest, at the 54th CEDA Congress, to write a new page in the history of the Central European Diabetes Association.
