Dr. Djordje Popovic

I am employed as an Endocrinologist at Clinic for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Disorders, Clinical Center of Vojvodina, Novi Sad, Serbia, and also as an Assistant Professor at Department of Internal Medicine at Medical Faculty, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. I have graduated with degree of MD in 2008, and defended my PhD thesis in 2016, both at Medical Faculty, University of Novi Sad.

During 2016 I have spent twelve weeks at the Section of Metabolic Diseases and Diabetes, Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, University of Pisa, Italy, through the European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes Albert Renold Fellowship Programme. During the 2017 European Association for the Study of Diabetes Annual Meeting in Lisbon, Portugal, I have received the European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes Future Leaders Mentorship Programme for Clinical Diabetologists award.

I have participated as an invited speaker at several international scientific meetings. I have authored numerous scientific papers published in prestige international journals. I act as a reviewer for numerous journals, and I am the Editorial Board member of several of them.
