Prof. Boris Mankovsky

Сorresponding member of National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Professor, Hononary Scientist of Ukraine, Неad of Department of Diabetology, P.L.Shupik National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. Competed fellowships in Northwestern Univerity, Chicago, and Univeristy of Miami, USA and National Institute of Diabetes, Dusseldorf, Germany. Professor Mankovsky is the President of Ukrainian Diabetology Association. He was elected as the Council Member of European Association for the study of Diabetes (EASD) and Council Member of Diabetic Neuropathy Study Group of EASD (Neurodiab).

Fields of research interests: cerebrovascular complications of diabetes, diabetic neuropathy, cardiovascular diseases in patients with diabetes. Author of many articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. He wrote the chapter “Diabetes and Stroke” in the first international book “Diabetes and Brain”. He is reviewer of such leading journals as “Diabetes Care”, “Diabetes” and others. Editor-in-Chief of Ukrainian medical journal “Diabetes. Obesity. Metabolic Syndrome”.
